The Atalaku Effect
Hi, Bonjour, Oi! I am Claudel Kamgang! I am Cameroonian by birth, French by education, Brazilian by adoption, and entrepreneurially American.
Welcome to The Atalaku Effect! Atalaku is a word from Congo, and means "praising". Atalaku to someone thus means praising that person for what she does. After my MBA from Wharton, work at J.P Morgan, McKinsey & Company, LinkedIn and currently Microsoft, it is time to do more.
This podcast is a set of in-depth conversations or solo episodes in English and French, about everything culture, work, sports, relationships, life struggles and everything in-between.
If you are human, this podcast has something for you :)
The Atalaku Effect
[ENGLISH] - Conversation with Jeremy Lwanga, Senior Engineering Manager at LinkedIn
In this episode, we get to learn about Jeremy Lwanga's life, from Uganda to San Francisco, USA. Jeremy tells us about his education in boarding school, his struggles finding a suitable university in the US, what he learned in undergrad, his struggle co-founding and exiting Tinga Ting (due to Facebook's emergence). We then discuss his ~8 years working at CBS Interactive, as well as as his 7 years in engineering at LinkedIn. With a lot of humility, we end up the discussion with Jeremy's latest life event: the birth of his daughter. We dig into how to prepare to be a dad and how he is thinking about making sure his daughter has a profound knowledge of her Ugandan roots. Be ready for a nice surprise at the end :)
